Installation Requirements

Proper cylinder measurement, machining, and engine assembly procedures are essential when installing forged performance pistons.

Required Piston-to-Wall Clearance: 0.003 inch (0.076 mm).

Cylinder bores must be measured and finished to achieve the specified clearance using the actual pistons supplied.

For engines using 77.50 mm oversize pistons, cylinder boring and honing are required.

Final bore dimensions, piston ring end gaps, and all related engine assembly clearances must be verified before installation.

Professional engine machining and assembly are recommended.
