To ensure optimal performance and durability, please follow the installation and torque procedures below carefully.

Installation & Torque Specifications

Clean all block and cylinder head threads with a thread chaser or tap to remove dirt, corrosion, or old sealant.
Lightly lubricate stud threads, nuts, and washers with ARP Ultra-Torque or equivalent assembly lube.
Install studs finger-tight into the block — do not torque the studs into the block.
Install the cylinder head and washers, then torque the nuts in three equal steps to the final specification.
Final Torque Specification: 75 ft-lbs (using lubricated threads).
Follow the MINI R53 head torque pattern, tightening from the center outward in a spiral pattern.
After the first full heat cycle, recheck final torque to ensure proper seating and gasket crush.
