Thank You for Your Order!
We appreciate you choosing SneedSpeed Main Studs — precision-engineered for strength, reliability, and repeatable torque values. Each set is designed to provide superior clamping force, improved block integrity, and long-term durability in both street and race applications.
Proper installation and torque sequencing are critical to achieving maximum performance. Please follow the specifications below carefully.
Installation & Torque Specifications
- Clean all threads in the block with a thread chaser or tap to remove debris and old sealant.
- Lubricate stud threads and washers with ARP Ultra-Torque or high-quality assembly lube.
- Install studs finger-tight into the block — do not overtighten.
- Torque the nuts in three equal steps to final torque specification.
- Final Torque Specification: 50 ft-lbs (using lubricated threads).
- Always follow factory torque sequence from the center main caps outward.
⚙️ Pro Tip: Verify housing bore alignment after torquing and check that crankshaft turns freely.
